New York Mills Volunteer Fire Department provides first responder services in both fire and life support to 11,500 residents in a 47 square mile district, containing the Village of New York Mills, and parts of the towns of New Hartford and Whitestown. Our volunteers have been serving our community proudly since 1931. If you’d like to serve your community as a volunteer firefighter, click here for more information.


The next meeting will be held on: April 4th at 19:00 hours           (7:00 PM).


Country Club  will be the last Tuesday of the month

320 Main Street will be the first Thursday of the month

New Hartford Square will be the first Wednesday of the month

ALL visits are at 1pm

We are now taking applications for our Junior Firefighter program.  Anyone from 16 to 18 years of age who lives in the New York Mills Fire District can apply. To apply fill out an application by clicking the "Be A Volunteer" or by contacting us by phone at (315) 736-1453
